The Antigonish Bulldogs have a rare afternoon game in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League.
The Bulldogs, coming off a home loss against Sackville Friday night, visit the Eskasoni Eagles (1-4-0).
It’s the second game of the season between the teams- the Bulldogs doubled Eskasoni 6-3 in Antigonish in the season opener in September.
Game time is 2 p.m.
The Cape Breton West Islanders finish off a home-and-home series in the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League.
The Islanders (6-1-1) are in New Glasgow to take on Pictou Co. (1-7-0), who sits last in the eight-team league.
Cape Breton West won the first game between the teams 1-0 in Port Hood Thursday night.
Game time is 12 p.m.
The Cabot Highlanders play their second game in as many days in the Nova Scotia Minor Midget AAA Hockey League.
The last-place Highlanders, who lost against the Fundy Thunder in Truro Saturday night, host the Kings.
Puck drop at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre is 2:30 p.m.
The Northern Selects remain in Saint John for their second game of the weekend in the Nova Scotia Female Midget AAA Hockey League.
They visit the Fundy Nationals at 10:30 a.m.
The Selects won Saturday’s game between the teams.
The Novas have their second home game of the weekend in the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League.
They host the Gulls.
The Novas beat to Bedford in Antigonish Saturday night.
Puck drop at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre is 12:30 p.m.
The Halifax Mooseheads are in New Brunswick for Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The Mooseheads visit Pomquet’s Logan Chisholm and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
Game time is 3 p.m.
The Richmond Academy Hurricanes are hosting NSSAF Div. 2 baseball provincials.
The four-team tournament is being played in Louisdale and Petit-de-Grat.
The host Hurricanes, who won against the Eastern Shore Schooners and lost to the Par-en-Bas Sharks Saturday, face the Amherst Vikings at 10 a.m.
The top two teams from the round robin advance to the championship game at 1:30 p.m.
The StFX women’s rugby team is in Wolfville for their final AUS regular season game.
The X-Women visit the Acadia Axewomen in a match-up of the top two teams in the four-team conference; unbeaten StFX (5-0) is first, a game up on second-place Acadia (4-1), and can clinch top spot- and a bye to the conference championship game- with a win.
The teams met once so far- StFX won 36-17 in Antigonish in September.
Kick off is 2 p.m.
The StFX soccer teams have their second AUS games in as many days.
They’re in Charlottetown to play the UPEI Panthers.
The X-Men and X-Women hosted Dalhousie in Antigonish Saturday- Dalhousie Tigers blanked the X-Men 4 – 0 and it was tied at 1 for the X-Women and Dalhousie Tigers.
It’s the second and final regular season games between the teams; the X-Men slipped past the Panthers 1-0 in Antigonish in September, while the X-Women shutout the Panthers 4-0.
The women get underway at 1 p.m.; the men start at 3:15 p.m.
