There are a pair of hockey games on the local sports schedule.
The Strait Pirates have a rare mid-week game in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League; they visit the Cole Harbour Colts.
The Pirates (5-1-0), who have won five of their first six games, are tied with Antigonish for top spot in the Sid Rowe Division with 10 points, three points up on the third-place Miners.
The Colts (2-3-0) are fifth in the Fred Fox Division with four points.
It’s the first game of the season between the teams.

The Halifax Mooseheads are in New Brunswick to face Pleasant Valley’s Jacob Hudson, Antigonish’s Jake and Sean Stewart and the Moncton Wildcats in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The Mooseheads (8-2-0), winners of three straight and four of the last five, are third in the 18-team league with 16 points, a point behind Baie-Comeau for second, and two points back of first-place Rouyn-Noranda; they’re ranked third in the country.
The Wildcats (6-3-1) are sixth with 13 points.
The teams have met once so far- Halifax doubled Moncton 4-2 in Moncton in September.
