A man from Inverness Co. has been ordered to pay a portion of Cabot Links’ legal fees after he took court action against the developers of the golf course and lost.
Neal Livingston asked a judge to declare that the property owned by Cabot Links’ officials had been dedicated for public use during a five-day hearing in April.
The judge ruled in favour of Cabot Links reps in a decision handed down in June.
Cabot reps petitioned to have Livingston pay part of their $150,000 legal fees.
A judge ordered him to pay close to one-third of the bill, almost $49,000, in a ruling released Tuesday.
