The StFX women’s hockey team is in New Brunswick for AUS action.
They meet the Moncton Blue Eagles.
The X-Women (5-0-1), who have won five straight since a shootout loss in their season opener and are ranked fourth in the country, lead the eight-team conference with 11 points, a point up on second-place Saint Mary’s; the Blue Eagles (2-5-0) are tied for seventh with four points.
The teams have met once so far- StFX won 5-2 in Moncton in October.
Game time is 7 p.m.
The StFX women’s rugby team will play for a chance to advance to the U Sports championship game in Wolfville.
They take on the Laval Rouge et Or in the national semi-finals at 4:30 p.m.
StFX, the tournament’s second seed, advanced with a 42-21 win against Queen’s in Thursday’s quarterfinal; Laval, the sixth seed, beat Calgary to move on.
The winner advances to Sunday’s championship game against the winner of the Ottawa-Guelph semi-final; the loser will play for bronze.
The Inverness-Baddeck Academy Rebels host the Eskasoni Warriors in Baddeck in the Cape Breton West High School Hockey League.
It’s the first game of the season for both teams.
Puck drop at the Victoria Highland Civic Centre is 7:30 p.m.
The Dr. J.H. Gillis Royals play the first of back-to-back games in the Northern Nova Scotia High School Hockey League.
They host the CEC Cougars.
It’s the second game of 2018-19 for both teams; they both lost their season openers.

The Dr. J.H. Gillis Royals, who are competing in the Div. 1 girls championship in Halifax, play the Citadel Phoenix at 2:30 p.m.
The Cape Breton Highlands Academy Huskies, who are hosting Div. 3 girls provincials, square off with the Sacred Heart Sharks at 12 p.m.
The Cape Breton Highlands Academy Huskies, competing for the Div. 3 boys title in Eastern Passage, play the Pugwash Panthers at 12 p.m.
The winners all advance to Saturday afternoon’s championship games; the losers will play for bronze Saturday morning.
