A pair from Richmond Co. charged in two separate drug busts are scheduled to return to court for sentencing in the new year.
RCMP say officers searched a Louisdale home and seized oxycodone, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in March 2017.
They charged Herbert Joseph Sampson, 55, and Patricia Ann Peeples, 54, with possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Sampson and Peeples also each faced two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and a breach in relation to a Port Hastings vehicle stop in May 2017; they were committed to stand trial in both cases following a preliminary inquiry in Nov. 2017.
They were expected to start a judge-only trial in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Port Hawkesbury Monday, instead, Sampson entered a guilty plea to possession of hydromorphone and Peeples pleaded guilty to possession of hydromorphone and oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking to settle all outstanding charges against them.
They’re scheduled for sentencing Feb. 21.
