The Cape Breton West Islanders finish off their weekend series against the second-place Valley Wildcats in Port Hood in the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League.
The Wildcats won Saturday night’s game between the teams to even the season series at two.

The Cape Breton Panthers host the Northern Lightning in Membertou at 11 a.m.
The Panthers won Saturday night’s game between the teams to move ahead of the Lightning/Panthers into sole possession of third in the seven-team league; it was the first regular season game between the teams.
The first-place Northern Selects host the fifth-place Fundy Nationals for second time in as many days; the Selects won Saturday night’s game.
Puck drop at the Pictou Co. Wellness Centre is 12:15 p.m.
The Novas play their second straight home game in the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League.
The Novas, who beat to East Hants in Antigonish Saturday night, host Kings.
The teams have met once so far- the Novas edged Kings 5-4 in Antigonish in September.
Puck drop at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre is 2 p.m.
The StFX women’s hockey team is on home ice for AUS action.
The X-Women host the Saint Mary’s Huskies in a match-up of two of the top-ranked teams in the country- the X-Women are fourth, the Huskies are eighth.
It’s the second game of the season between the teams- StFX slipped by Saint Mary’s 3-2 in Halifax in October.
