The Port Hawkesbury Antigonish Swim Team, PHAST competed in the Age Group Development Meet in Wolfville at Acadia University.
PHAST swimmers saw several top 8 finishes in their age group categories during the weekend event.
Riley Avery powered to 1st the 50m, 100m, and 200m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke and 100m Breaststroke and a 3rd in the 200m Freestyle.
Aidan Doucet stroked to 1st in the 50m Freestyle, and 50m and 100m Butterfly and a 2nd in the 200m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke and 3rd in the 100m Backstroke.
Josh Elsworth took 4th in the 50m and 200m Freestyle, 5th in the 200m I.M. and 7th in the 400m Freestyle, and 50m Backstroke.
Meghan Hayes swam to 2nd in the 100m Butterfly, 3rd in the 200m Freestyle,4 th in the 50m Butterfly and 100m Backstroke, 5th in the 50m Backstroke and Freestyle and 6th in the 100m Freestyle.
Colleen MacLeod secured 2nd in the 100m Breaststroke and 50m Backstroke, 3rd in the 50m and 100 M Freestyle, and 50m Breaststroke and 4th in the 200m Freestyle .
Lily Poffenroth took 8th in the 200m Backstroke.
Anna Robinson swam to 3rd in the 1500 Freestyle, 6th in the 400m I.M. and 7th in the 100m Backstroke.
Hannah Austen swam to 7th in both the 200m and100m Butterfly.
PHAST is training for the “Top 16” Meet in mid-December…the team’s goal is to have multiple athletes medaling in all four strokes.
