The Islanders (9-12-1), with one win in their last nine games, are fifth in the eight-team league with 19 points, six points behind Dartmouth for fourth, and two points ahead of sixth-place South Shore; the Tradesmen (7-15-2) are seventh with 16 points.
The teams have split the first two games in the six-game season series.

The SAERC Saints host the Eskasoni Warriors in the Cape Breton West High School Hockey League.
The Saints (3-2-1) are tied with Inverness-Baddeck Academy for third in the five-team league with nine points, a point behind Richmond Academy for second, and six points ahead of the last-place Warriors (1-4-0).

They’re at the bottom of the standings in the five-team league- the Nighthawks (1-4-2) are fourth with four-and-a-half points, while the last-place Royals (0-3-1), winless through their first four league games, have a single point.
It’s the first game of the season between the teams.

The latest edition of the Battle of Nova Scotia takes place in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League when St. Andrews’ Declan Smith and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles visit the Halifax Mooseheads.
The Mooseheads (22-7-1), who have won five straight, are tied with Drummondville for fourth in the 18-team league with 45 points, a point behind Moncton and Baie-Comeau, the two teams tied for second, and four points ahead of sixth-place Charlottetown; they’re ranked ninth in the country.
The Screaming Eagles (18-12-2), with one loss in their last six, are eighth with 38 points, two points behind Rimouski for seventh, and two points ahead of ninth-place Sherbrooke.
Halifax has won three of the first four games in the nine-game season series between the provincial rivals.
