RCMP say a 14-year old male from Port Hawkesbury faces numerous charges under the Motor Vehicle Act.
They say just before 2 a.m. on Sunday a vehicle was pulled over on Reeves street for driving 106km/hr in a 50km/hr zone.
They say the vehicle also ran a red light and nearly struck a police vehicle.
RCMP say the driver has been charged with stunting, operating a motor vehicle under the age of 16 and failure to stop at a red light.
They say the youth has a court appearance in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on February 25th.
