St. Andrews Declan Smith will be playing for the STFX X-Men next season.
STFX hockey head coach Brad Peddle made the announcement today.
Smith is currently the captain of the QMJHL’s Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and is in his last eligable season.
The 20 year old has 98 points in 219 games played.
Peddle says, Smith is “Dependable in both ends of the rink and is very tough to play against.”
In addition to Smith, the X-Men added forward Jean Dupuy to their roster for next year.
Dupuy has been signed to the Buffalo Sabres as well.
