The StFX women’s hockey team plays in New Brunswick for the second time in as many nights.
The X-Women, ranked seventh in the country, are coming off a loss against first-place St. Thomas in Fredericton Friday night; they meet the Mount Allison Mounties in Sackville.
StFX has won the first two games in the four-game season series by a combined score of 12-0.
Game time is 5:30 p.m.
Two local teams have advanced to the quarter finals of the 2019 Ice Jam.
Cape Breton West will take on Charlottetown at 9:00am.
The Novas advance to the Major Bantam Quarter-final at 10:45 against Wearwell.
The Cabot Highlanders are on the road in the Nova Scotia Minor Midget AAA Hockey League.
They visit the Dartmouth Voyageurs.
The Highlanders (2-17-1) are last in the eight-team league with five points, six points back of Cape Breton for seventh; the Voyageurs (11-7-2) are tied for fifth with 24 points.
Dartmouth has won two of the first three games in the five-game season series between the teams.

The two local teams in the Nova Scotia Female Midget AAA Hockey League square off for a weekend home-and-home series.
The Northern Selects host the Cape Breton Panthers.
The Selects (17-1-3), with one loss in 21 regular season games, lead the seven-team league with 37 points, three points up on second-place Halifax; the Panthers (11-4-3), winless in back-to-back league games, are third with 25 points, nine points behind Halifax for second, and seven points ahead of the fourth-place Northern Lightning.
The Selects won the first two games in the four-game season series in November.
Puck drop at the Pictou Co. Wellness Centre is 12:30 p.m.
The teams wrap up the home-and-home in Membertou Sunday afternoon.
There are a pair of games in the Antigonish Rural League.
The Pleasantdale Panthers play the St. Croix Angels at 7 p.m.; the County Outlaws take on the Heatherton Warriors at 8:45 p.m.
Both games are at the Antigonish Arena.
St. Andrews’ Declan Smith and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles play the second of back-to-back home games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The Screaming Eagles, coming off Friday night’s win against Halifax in Sydney, host the Shawinigan Cataractes.
It’s the second and final regular season game between the teams- Cape Breton won the first 4-3 in overtime in Shawinigan in November.
Puck drop at Centre 200 in Sydney is 7 p.m.
The StFX track and field teams are in New Brunswick for weekend competition.

The Guysborough Invitational Basketball Tournament continues at Guysborough Academy
In the boys division Cabot plays Tatamagouche and Pugwash will play Guysborough.
In the girls division Guysborough and SAERC hit the court and SAERC tips off against Dr John.
The boys final is scheduled for 5pm with the girls championship to follow at 6:45pm.
