The Saint Francis Xavier University outbreak has ballooned to 114 people, 55 new cases related to that cluster Friday.
Dr. Robert Strang, Chief Medical Officer of Health, said many of the 123 new cases across the whole province are directly connected to the university.
He says many students have primary addresses outside of the area around Antigonish, despite living in the community.
There are 56 cases in the Halifax region, 60 in Eastern Zone, six in Northern Zone, and one in Western Zone.
Dr. Strang said most of the people infected in the outbreak are fully vaccinated young people and have relatively mild symptoms.
He said they are now asking anyone who is contacted by Public Health to get immediately tested and isolate until you get a negative test.
