The Premier is blasting the leadership of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation after the NSLC announced its vaccinate mandate would come into effect six weeks after the government’s.
NSLC workers must be fully vaccinated by January 15th.
Tim Houston said he doesn’t understand why the crown corporation is using a delayed date.
“I’ve not got an acceptable explanation. I’ve received some of their rationale, but to me it’s completely unacceptable,” he said. “Very upset about that.”
The province put 1000 people who wouldn’t get vaccinated, or refused to disclose their vaccination status, off work early this month.
However, provincial workers who have one dose of vaccine have until Jan. 26 to get their second, but many cannot do their jobs until they get that second shot.
