If you did not get a chance to book your booster shot yet, more appointments are coming.
Premier Tim Houston reported during Monday’s COVID-19 update many experienced long wait times when bookings opened up to people as young as 30 on Monday.
Nearly 100,000 appointments were available, but most had filled up by the afternoon.
Houston says the federal government has committed enough supply for everyone over the coming weeks.
He recommends keeping a close watch on public health’s website if you have not yet been able to secure a time.
Houston believes the key to opening up more appointments remains human resources. So far, 1,646 Nova Scotians have come forward to help with the booster dose rollout.
“I continue to put the call out once again,” Houston says. “If you are someone with experience in immunizations, a healthcare professional, a nurse, a doctor, a dentist, retired or practicing … If you have the ability to help please go to nshealth.ca\covidjobs.”
You can book your appointment online.
Houston and Dr. Robert Strang are set to hold another COVID-19 update on Wednesday.
