The kids are headed back to the classroom Monday.
Becky Druhan, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, says they’re confident in-school is the best place for our kids.
Druhan says officials are doing what they can to make sure of it, 70 schools have new HEPA air filters, to help improve ventilation.
“They should all be in schools now,” she says. “They’ll all be installed and ready to go for Monday”
Druhan says they’ve also refreshed their supply to three-ply masks for students and staff.
She says they’re responding to a call for higher grade masks as well.
“We’re also making three-ply medical masks available for staff,” she says. “Because we’ve heard that some have been interested in those.”
Premier Tim Houston has said on several occasions some students rely on school for warmth, safety, and food.
