Nova Scotians will hear from the premier and top doctor on Wednesday.
Premier Tim Houston and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are set to hold a COVID-19 update at 3 p.m.
Since the most recent update last week, students have returned to in-person learning. Classrooms opened back up on Monday.
The province also expanded the eligibility for booster doses. Nova Scotians as young as 18 can now schedule an appointment.
Meantime, Premier Tim Houston says we need to do everything we can to keep Omicron out of hospitals and long-term care homes.
There are now 73 people in hospital due to COVID-19 with 15 in intensive care.
The province reported a new death related to the virus on Tuesday. A woman in her 80’s has passed away in the Eastern Zone.
It’s the fifth since the weekend.
