The province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health says Nova Scotians know what to do to combat COVID-19.
In an update today, Dr. Robert Strang says the virus is all around us, and mandates played an important roll.
He says Public Health is not recommending bringing back restrictions at this time.
“I’m confident that we’re in a position to manage this pandemic without restrictions, even with the virus activity we’re seeing right now in our communities,” says Dr. Strang.
According to the weekly report released today, there were eight deaths related to COVID-19 last week, with nearly 7,000 positive PCR tests and 61 new hospital admissions.
Strang says the weekly updates are available online, and daily updates are no longer needed.
