A local fish market says they are heartbroken after losing their building in a devastating fire.
It was in the early morning hours, Monday, when the Lobster Dive in Eastern Passage when up in flames.
In a social media post, Tuesday, the shop says they are in complete shock and at a loss for words.
“At this time, we are so sorry to say that we won’t be able to fill any of our customer’s Christmas orders,” says the post. “We know how much everyone was looking forward to their holiday seafood, and it breaks our hearts to disappoint you.”
They add, they are beyond grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have already received.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out – it truly means the world to us during this difficult time,” reads the post.
“Merry Christmas to all of our amazing customers near and far.”

“Hope you rebuild bigger and better than ever,” the post reads. “I’ve have sent tons of people to you guys over the over the years. I know how you feel to lose everything, been there done that stay strong…”
Digby Seafoods says a few customers came to them to buy lobsters that they had ordered from Lobster Dive and wanted to give them the money back.
