A man arrested after a traffic stop in Inverness Co. is scheduled to return to court April 20.
RCMP say officers conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 104 in Port Hastings in August.
They say they searched a vehicle, and found dexamphetamine, codeine, other drug paraphernalia and brass knuckles.
Sean Dale Simon, 36, of Port Hawkesbury has been charged with a pair of possession for the purpose of trafficking counts, two weapons-related offences and three breaches.
Simon, who made his first court appearance in the case shortly after his arrest and was released on conditions, was last in court for an election-and-plea hearing in November.
He was expected to have a date set for his trial on the weapons counts and breaches in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Thursday; instead, that hearing was adjourned until July 30.
Simon also had a preliminary inquiry on the drug charges Thursday; he’s scheduled to return to have a trial date set April 20.
