There are three games on the local sports schedule.
The St. Peter’s Royals host the Petit-de-Grat Red Caps in the Richmond Amateur Baseball Association.
The teams are at the bottom of the standings in the six-team league- the Red Caps (3-6) are fifth, a game back of fourth-place Port Hawkesbury, and a half-game ahead of the last-place Royals (2-6).
The teams have met once so far; the Royals won 4-2 at home in June.
First pitch at the St. Peter’s Ballfield is 6:15 p.m.
The Pomquet Acadians visit the St. Joseph’s Chiefs in the AGR.
The Acadians (3-1) lead the five-team league, a half-game up on second-place Heatherton; the fourth-place Chiefs (0-1), who lost their only game of the season 4-3 in Pomquet Wednesday, are a half-game behind Guysborough for third, and a half-game up on last-place St. Andrews.
First pitch in St. Joseph’s is 6:30 p.m.
The Antigonish Celtics travel to Bedford in the Nova Scotia Soccer League‘s U17 boys division.
The Celtics (2-2-1) are fourth in the eight-team division with seven points; undefeated Bedford (1-0-3) is a point behind in fifth.
It’s the first league game of the season between the teams.
