Mulgrave town councillors have agreed to provide some financial help to the town’s summer market.
Councillors approved a $500 grant for the market at the Mulgrave Marina at Monday night’s monthly town council meeting.
After, Mayor Ralph Hadley said it was an easy decision because the summer market brought a lot to the town.
“We’re only small but we had four showings, next year we hope to extend it a little longer,” he says. “It’s brought people together, people sold some of their items that they had.”
The first of four bi-weekly markets was held in July, while the fourth and final was in August.
Organizers say they hope to add a 5th market next summer.
