Officials with the province’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal are holding an open house in Antigonish to discuss the twinning of Hwy. 104 between Antigonish and Sutherlands River.
They say the purpose of Tuesday’s open house, which takes place at the MacKay room in the Bloomfield Centre on the campus of StFX from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., is to provide information on the project.
There will be a second open house in Stellarton Wednesday.
Federal officials announced $90 million in funding to help twin the 38-kilometre stretch of highway in July; provincial officials have committed $195 million to the project.
