A 49-hour ER closure will be in place at a hospital in the quad counties.
Officials with the Nova Scotia Health Authority say the Strait Richmond Hospital emergency department will be closed from 7 a.m. Saturday until 8 a.m. Monday.
They say the unavailability of physicians to cover the shift is the reason for the unexpected temporary closure; there have been er closures at the hospital every week for the past few months.
You’re asked to go to another ER or call 911 with a medical emergency; you can call 811 for any non-urgent issues.
