Strait Regional School Board officials say they’re very pleased the tender has been awarded for the construction of a standalone skilled trades centre at Richmond Education Centre/Academy.
The cost of the work is $597, 149.
Paul Landry, Acting Director of Operations, says the contractor started the work early last month.
After Wednesday night’s SRSB meeting, Landry said they’re pleased with where things are things considering uncontrollable factors.
“It’s going along quite well,” he said. “Obviously we’ve had some weather issues to deal with as we progress through the project, but we’ve accounted for that along the way with regards to progress and the project.”
Landry said they’re on schedule and hope to have things complete around the end of March.
