A group of Home Hardware stores are offering free key cutting today to support the War Amps.
The Lawrie Group of Home Hardware Stores are holding their third Free Key Cut Day.
Shelby Spurr is the advertising and marketing coordinator for the group.
She says the War Amps organization is vital to the community.
“They’ve been supporting war amputee veterans and child amputee’s for 75 years,” says Spurr. “It’s a crucial program within our communities that sometimes you don’t even think about.”
The Lawrie Group is offering cutting at all of their locations which are in Annapolis, Bridgetown, Greenwood, Kingston, Meteghan and Middleton.
Spurr says they’ll be doing more than just cutting keys.
“People can come into our locations and have a free key cut, learn about what the War Amps are doing to support our local amputees, especially children, and learn about the lost key service program.”
The lost key service works by attaching a tag to your keys. If they’re lost, the finder can call them in or place them in any mailbox.
