The mayor of Mulgrave says a few final details have to be ironed out before they join the Eastern Strait Regional Enterprise Network.
Town councillors voted to join the Eastern Strait REN at a cost of $9, 000 – $10, 000 after a presentation by John Beaton, REN Executive Director, in December.
At the time, Ralph Hadley said they hoped to part of the network by January.
After February’s regular town council meeting, Hadley told The Hawk they’re close.
“(We’re) waiting for the development officer or the person that runs it to come and talk to us about it.”
Hadley said they expect to be part of the REN by April 1.
They’ll join their counterparts in Antigonish town and county, the Municipalities of the Districts of Guysborough and St. Mary’s and the Town of Port Hawkesbury.
