James “Gerard” Sampson
We regret to announce the death of James “Gerard” Sampson of Havre Boucher, which occurred Friday in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital.
At Gerard’s request, his body has been donated to Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine for research and will be cremated.
Family and friends are welcome to share their memories and say goodbye on Wednesday from 2-5 at the Havre Boucher Community Center.

A Funeral Mass for the late Donnie Johnson will be held in Stella Maris Church, Inverness on Thursday at 11 with Reverend Dan MacDonald presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
Donald Hugh MacGillivray
We regret to announce the death of Donald Hugh MacGillivary of Glendale, which occurred on Sunday in the Strait Richmond Hospital.
The late Donald MacGillivary will rest Thursday from 2-9 in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
Funeral mass will be Friday at 11 from St. Mary of the Angels Roman Catholic Church, Glendale with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Cemetery Fund or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 from Canso United Baptist Church with Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial at a later date.

Judith Marilyn “Judy” O’Donnell
We regret to announce the death of Judith Marilyn “Judy” O’Donnell, formerly of Mahoney’s Beach, which occurred on Monday in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish.
A small private family funeral liturgy will be held and burial will place at a later date in St Mary’s Cemetery, Kings ’s Cove, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland. The Celebration of Life that was being planned for her husband, Jack, will now be a celebration for both Judy and Jack on December 2nd, 7 o’clock at St. Ninian’s Cathedral in Antigonish.
Memorial donations may be made to L’Arche Antigonish or to the Antigonish Food Bank.
