The Antigonish Bulldogs will try to avoid a three-games-to-none series deficit when they host the Miners in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League playoffs.
The Miners won the first two games of the best-of-seven, Sid Rowe Division final.
Dave Synishin, Antigonish’s head coach, tells The Hawk they started slow in game two, but recovered a bit, and need to carry that forward into game three.
“In the second and third, we really got stronger as the game went on- outshot them 17-9 in the second period, but they scored three and we didn’t score any, so (we) certainly have to play a little better defensively and start putting some pucks in the net,” he says. “At the end of the day, I thought we played a pretty good game.”
Puck drop at the Antigonish Arena is 7:30 p.m.
A Bulldogs’ loss means they’ll be facing elimination when the series returns to Membertou for game four Saturday night.
