Communities, Culture and Heritage Minister Leo Glavine announced the funding Friday through the Community Facilities Improvement program.
In Richmond County…the Fourchu Development Association will receive 37 thousand dollars for roof and related repairs.
Three Inverness County groups are also on the list…the Margaree Area Development Association will develop a multi-purpose space with the help of $24,200, while the North Mountain Cultural and Recreation Association will get some help in replacing stairs and the installation of a heat pump with a $6,000 infusion of funds.
Societe Mi-Careme in Cheticamp will receive 31 thousand dollars for renovations.
Meanwhile St. Joseph’s Parish in Port Felix, Guysborough County is replacing their roof with the help of $13,000
The Middle River Recreation Association in Victoria County has picked up $11, 000 for new flooring, lighting and ventilation.
More than 943-thousand dollars is being invested in facilities across the province this year.
