Town officials in Mulgrave have requested expressions of interest for the former Mulgrave Memorial Education Centre.
The P-6 school shut down for good following the end of the 2017-18 school year; town officials assumed ownership of the building shortly after.
Councillors approved an expression of interest request at September’s regular meeting Tuesday night.
After, Mayor Ralph Hadley said they hope to find someone soon.
“An operator (can) come in here and look it over and may utilize is for anything that suits the Town of Mulgrave,” he says. “It could be from anything from senior care to officies to rental storage, anything like that.”
Hadley said they received $80,000 in provincial funding to operate the building for the next year.
