
A man and woman charged in relation to a drug bust in Inverness Co. are scheduled to return to court in October.
RCMP say Inverness officers and members of the Inverness-Richmond District Street Crime Enforcement Unit searched a home on Celtic Dr. in Inverness in April.
They say they seized cocaine, cutting agent, cash and drug paraphernalia.
Police say two people from Inverness have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of equipment used to assist with trafficking cocaine, and unsafe storage of ammunition.
Terrance Anthony Harper, 23, and Janelle Anne Larade, 19, had an election-and-plea hearing in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Friday; they elected to have their trial heard in Nova Scotia Supreme Court.
They’re expected back for preliminary inquiries, which will determine if there’s enough evidence to send their cases to trial, Oct. 25.
