Two new recruits are joining the StFX men’s hockey team.
Goaltender Joseph Raaymakers, who played 2018-19 with the London Knights, and defenceman Roddie Sandilands, who split the previous season between Shawinigan and Cape Breton, will join the X-Men for the upcoming 2019-20 AUS season.
They’re part of a recruiting class that includes previously-announced forwards Declan Smith of St. Andrews, a former Cape Breton Eagles captain, and Jeremiah Addison, who last played in the American Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens’ farm team in Laval.
Team officials have also announced Mark Tremaine, StFX’s captain in 2018-19, will return for his fifth and final season of eligibility.
The X-Men open the 2019-20 season against Dalhousie in Halifax Sept. 25; they play their home opener against UPEI Sept. 28.
