It is now easier to renew a drivers licence in Nova Scotia.
The province announced a new online service will allow those with a regular, motorcycle or farm tractor licence renew them digitally.
Anyone can use the service provided their licence expires before or on Dec. 31, they don’t have any outstanding fines and don’t require an address change.
Service Nova Scotia and Internal Services minister Patricia Arab says the service was implemented to provide a quick, efficient and convenient way for people to renew their licence without the physical risk of COVID-19.
“With the impact of COVID-19 on our daily lives, Nova Scotians have been provided different ways to access services while following new public health protocols to help keep themselves and others healthy and safe,” she said.
Those who use the service will be given an electronic or printed renewal slip to use with their current licence until their new card gets sent to them.
