A search by police in New Glasgow has led to drug and weapons charges.
Officers with Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit and New Glasgow Regional Police searched a home Monday afternoon and later seized coccaine, methamphetamine, digital scales, cash and an illegal weapon.
A 35 year-old woman and 36-year old man both from Pictou County were arrested and now face charges of Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and Possession of a prohibited weapon.
While police are still investigating, they did not elaborate on what type of weapon was seized or when either suspect charged will be making a court appearance.
