Gabriel Bruce is the Green candidate for Guysborough-Tracadie.
Bruce says running in this election gives people a chance to vote for values and ideals that wouldn’t be represented otherwise.
The 19-year-old explains how he got into politics.
“I was involved pretty intensely in the Youth Climate Movement, which was in in 2019, and that’s kind of my first fore into any kind of activism or politics.”
Bruce says he hasn’t had a chance to do much campaigning because he is working full-time.
He says running for the Green Party has taught him a lot.
“I feel like I learned a lot and I’m really happy I had this opportunity.”
The other candidates for Guysborough-Tracadie are PC candidate Greg Morrow, Liberal candidate Lloyd Hines and NDP candidate Matt Stickland.
