With restrictions evaporating next week, people in our province are spilt on mask wearing.
A new poll from Narrative Research shows, while 73 per cent support easing restrictions on the whole, only 48 per cent support the removal of masking in public places.
While Nova Scotians are generally in favour of the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, they are equally divided about the removal of required mask wearing in public places and to a lesser extent, the removal of proof of vaccination requirements.
It shows 61 per cent are also in favour of ditching the vaccine pass, but 35 per cent are opposed to dropping proof of vaccine.

Polling data on the removal of COVID-19 restrictions; from Narrative Research
47 per cent of respondents agree the pace of easing restrictions has been about right, 34 per cent say we’re moving to quickly, and 14 per cent say things are moving too slowly.
The survey says younger people are more likely to be comfortable with ending restrictions, and men are more likely than women to be in favour.
All COVID-19 public health restrictions, and the provincial state of emergency, will be over next Monday.
