As parliament resumes after the summer break, Our MP Mike Kelloway plans to bring up the issue with cellphone coverage in Cape Breton Canso. “I will continue to make a major effort to get more money in next years budget for cell phone coverage for rural Canada and Cape Breton Canso.” Stated Kelloway. He added that the riding has made great progress in improving broadband connections and more announcements on improved broadband connections are expected to be made soon.
As the Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries Oceans and the Coastguard Kelloway will work to expand, highlight, and grow the fisheries, an important part of our local economy. Kelloway will also do everything possible to make life more affordable for people in the Cape Breton Canso riding.
The start of the fall sitting was postponed due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II
Kelloway cares very deeply about economic development in the riding. He still encourages people to voice their concerns on any economic development project that is in the works, and conversations about these project proposals should be done in a respectful manner. This is in response to those that have shown support or opposition to the Canso Spaceport proposal.
