RCMP are investigating a serious crash in Pictou County that left six people injured.
At around 11:45 p.m. last night, RCMP, and EHS responded to reports of the crash that happened on Gairloch Road in Union Centre. They learned that a Kia Rio was travelling on the road when it lost control and left the road, drove through a ditch, across someone’s private property, and came to rest in a nearby tree line.
All six passengers in the vehicle suffered injuries. Two of them are in serious condition with life-threatening injuries, two of them have serious injuries that are not considered life threatening at this time, and two of them suffered minor to moderate injuries according to the RCMP.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and Gairloch Road was clo0sed for several hours but has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
