The Lingan Power Plant was broken into and now a Glace Bay man is facing charges.
It was Thursday, August 17 around 5pm, when a security guard spotted the 42-year-old man in a secure area of the plant and called the Cape Breton Regional Police to the scene. They ended up finding that a fence had been cut near where the man had parked his car and there were tools inside of the car.
Police arrested the man is he is set to appear in Sydney provincial court where he is charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Break-in Instruments, and Mischief.
He was released from jail on conditions.
