Most of our province is getting its first real snowfall of the season with 15-20 centimetres expected depending on where you live.
It has prompted snowfall warnings for much of the mainland and in western Cape Breton and the storm is expected to linger for most of the day.
Many schools are closed including cancelled classes in the Annapolis Valley, South Shore, Chignecto and Strait.
