If you have any structural damage from the flash flooding in the Annapolis Valley that is not insured, you can now apply to the Province’s Disaster Financial Assistance Program, to help you get back on your feet.
It’s for Nova Scotians, municipalities, small businesses and not-for-profit organizations, but does not replace private insurance.
The province says to continue to assess damage, keep all receipts, take pictures and videos and work with your insurance company.
Applications are available at:
– online: https://beta.novascotia.ca/disaster-financial-assistance-july-2024-flash-flooding
– Access Nova Scotia centres
– MLA offices.
The deadline to apply is October 31.
