A 70-year-old man has been identified as one of two sailors whose remains were found washed up on the shores of Sable Island National Park Reserve.
RCMP say he was from British Columbia and set sail from Halifax Harbour, June 11, on a vessel called Theros.
Investigators are confident that he along with a 54-year-old woman, also from BC, were found in a lifeboat one week later on Sable Island.
However, work continues to identify her remains.
RCMP say the names are not being released out of respect for the families, victims and the Canadian Privacy Act.
The deaths are not believed to be suspicious.
Officials continue to gather information in effort to determine what may have happened at sea.
