A 17-year-old has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the stabbing death of a 16-year-old boy at a Halifax mall.
The Public Prosecution Service tells our newsroom the Crown will no longer be looking for an adult sentence.
This is the second teen in the case, to plead guilty to manslaughter, the first was from a 14-year-old girl last month.
They are two of four teens who were charged with second degree murder after Ahmad Al Marrach was stabbed in the parking lot of a Halifax Shopping Mall in April.
The trial was originally scheduled for September but will now be in February 2025.
