An all-star Canadian swimmer has grabbed two new world records in just a few days.
18-year-old Summer McIntosh set a world record in the Olympic swimming trials on Saturday.
Her 400-metre freestyle time was about 3 minutes and 54.2 seconds.
It’s 1.2 seconds faster than the previous record set in 2023.
But McIntosh set another record during the trials yesterday in the 200-metre individual medley.
She finished in about two minutes and 5.7 seconds, shaving less than a second off the record.
The Toronto-born swimmer took home 3 gold medals and one silver at the Paris Olympics last year.
