A woman charged in connection with a fatal ATV crash that killed an infant has had her case return to court in Bridgewater.
The crash happened in May 2024 near Forties.
RCMP say a side-by-side off-highway vehicle carrying four people left a logging road and crashed. An infant later died from injuries sustained in the crash. Two adults were seriously hurt, and another child had minor injuries.
Police say the driver’s blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit at the time.
Following a lengthy investigation, Madisyn Parker, 28, was arrested in June 2025 and charged with multiple offences, including impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, and criminal negligence causing death.
She did not appear in court in person for Tuesday’s hearing—her lawyer appeared on her behalf.
The case is scheduled to return on July 30, when a plea and election are expected.
