A Kentucky man is the Nova Scotia Marathon champion.
Logan Holmes of Florence finished the route through Barrington and Cape Sable Island, Shelburne County in just over two hours and 43 minutes on Sunday.
Holmes says it was his first time in our province.
“It was good, I was five seconds off my personal best, so that was a little frustrating. But overall the course was good,” said Holmes.
It was the 54th year for the marathon, the longest running in the province.
It also set an attendance record of 670 through several distances.
Jamie Kerr of Oakfield, Nova Scotia was the top finisher from the province, he came in seventh.
