A 44-year-old man originally from Lower Sackville has been charged with more fraud-related offences after pretending to be a car dealership broker.
The crimes happened between 2022 and 2024 in Nova Scotia, often using the identity of someone who died to cover up his own.
RCMP say he falsely sold vehicles offering fake financing plans, collecting deposits from prospective buyers by e-transfer, then cutting off contact with them.
The suspect was arrested in August 2024 in Regina, Saskatchewan for previous fraud-related offences.
A search warrant in August 2024, uncovered evidence to support new charges laid July 31:
- Fraud over $5,000
- Fraud under $5,000 (nine counts)
- Identity Theft (two counts)
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime
He is scheduled for court, October 20.
