A positive update on the water situation in the Town of Antigonish.
Mandatory water conservation has been lifted, and is now voluntary.
The town says they received 25 millimetres of rainfall at the James River Dam on Monday night, giving the supply a much-needed boost.
With more rain the forecast, the town says they were able to lift the mandatory rule.
You’re still asked to conserve water until the reservoir is full and the dam is spilling again.
