A runner from Halifax has broken a record for the fastest time to race around an entire lap of the land of fire and ice- Iceland.
Ryan Keeping clocked in at 14 days, 13 hours and 68 minutes: beating the original record of 16 days and 10 hours.
In a video posted to his social media account on his last day, he said he was physically destroyed, but nothing would stop him.
“I’m doing this to show you guys that anything is possible. My body is completely worn down to its limit right now, but your mind can get you wherever you want to go,” said Keeping.

Keeping, a high-endurance athlete, ran the entire length of Florida in March.
That was just several months after completing a cross-country marathon in 99 days in honour of Terry Fox, raising more than $200,000 for people with heart disease.
He has a catchphrase, “flip the switch”, to trick people into believing they can do things.
“”Your mind is the most powerful thing of all time. It is the most powerful thing in your body, and it will allow me to finish this,” said Keeping.
The entire ring road was 1389km, which Keeping ran from September 7 to September 21.
