More mandatory evacuation orders are in place as the Lake George wildfire remains out of control, at about 11 p.m., Monday, it was roughly estimated at about 300 hectares.
Nova Scotia Emergency Management says the north end of Aylesford Lake, from Old Mill Lane, southwest to Simpson Cove Lane & along both sides of North River Rd, to Aylesford Lake Beach (at 580 North River Road) is ordered to evacuate.
It is from Old Mill Lane, southwest to Simpson Cove Lane.
This order is in addition to Kingswood Camp and Fox Mountain campground.
Public Works says Alyesford Road is closed to all traffic from the Fox Mountain Camping Park (6128 Alyesford Road).
A 24/7 shelter with overnight accommodations has been set up for evacuees.
It is at the Louis Millett Community Compex at 9289 Commercial Street, New Minas.
A special air quality alert is in place for Kings County, which is in a state of emergency.
